The last time that we came through this Mojave Desert
area this marvelous old Union Pacific Depot was
in terrible condition. The state of California did a
wonderful job of restoration and havemade a
visitors center out of it. Rangers are on staff and
it is open to the public now.
We were going to stay the night there, but Linda, (aka The Boss),
said we should head on as the trains might keep her awake.
