A View Across the Lake that we are enjoying.

The water is rising since we have had three days of intermittent rain. Mostly overnight, so that we are still able to enjoy nice 70-78 degree days. Roosevelt lake is famous for having the worlds tallest Masonry Dam. It was cut from local stone by Italians.
Teddy Roosevelt dedicated the dam in 1907 according to local information.

Our friend, Vera Avila, took this photo of Bates Well. This is an abandoned ranch headquarters that was apparently used for several years. Bob Brewer, Bill Olesen, Carol Wiesner, Dale Southern, and myself took our "dirt bikes" out to this area from our boon-docking camp near Ajo. It was a very nice ride and a beautiful day. Unfortunately, none of us had ther presence of mind to take a photo. So Vera and dale rode out there in their truck and took the photo while they were there. Thanks Vera!
