Lake Shastina, near Weed, CA in late August.
As you can easily see, where there should be blue water, there is only green grass!
The cattle are grazing where the fish should be biting!! We are camped at what would have been the waters edge.
In the shelter of a very nice Cedar tree, we enjoyed it's shade 'till evening came our way.
A nice area and it would be even better when the lake is up.
Locals said that in the early spring the fishing is excellent.
We "shoulda" been here then!!
